My Approach

I have a passion to help people overcome personal challenges, grow in their relationships and find meaning and purpose in life. I draw from my training, from my personal life experience and from working with many people over the years.

I incorporate several psychological theories and customize the therapy to meet the needs of the individual. The theoretical orientations I use include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral
  • Psychodynamic
  • Solution-Focused
  • Family Systems
  • Forgiveness therapy.

We work on improving your present life and only explore the past to encourage healing, understand perceptions, improve current outlook and grow in relationships.

I believe not only in recovery, but discovering your strengths and potential to put you on a path of coming into your full personal potential.

As a therapist I gain a lot of wisdom and strength from my Christian faith which compliments my commitment and care for my clients. I offer Christian Counseling to those who are interested and want to explore or include this. I learned from my work at New Life Christian Center that people often gain the strength to be restored and find purpose when they draw on their belief and trust in one greater than themselves.

Please see the rest of my web site to learn more about my approach to counseling and the various areas in which I specialize. The introductory video on my home page will also help you get to know me.
