About Me and My Practice

I was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County, California. After graduating from Redwood High school I attended college at Sacramento State University. I moved back to Marin in my adult years, married and raised a family. My “second home” has been Oregon over the years where I have spent many vacations with my family. Due to my experiences I have much understanding and love for the people of both California and Oregon. In my spare time I enjoy walking, hiking and camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
I graduated with honors from Dominican University in San Rafael, California with a Masters of Science (MS) Degree in Counseling Psychology, and from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Child Development. In addition to my formal training, I draw from my life experiences from being successfully married for many years, and having raised three, now-adult children.
I am licensed in with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I have also received training in Couples Counseling from the Gottman Institute, a leading research-based specialist organization. I am a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, United States Mental Health Professionals and Psi Chi – The National Honor Society in Psychology.
I have been doing professional counseling since 2004 and have worked to help people in various capacities my whole life. I have a passion to help individuals, couples and families overcome challenges, grow in their relationships and find meaning and purpose in life.
The focus of my practice is on helping people with their relationships, which includes Marriage Counseling, Recovery from Infidelity, Individual and Family Therapy and Forgiveness Therapy. Via my Secure Client Portal, I provide online counseling services throughout California and Oregon.
